Official Super Stocks Rules (2026)
The following specification set forth herein express or imply warranty of safety from publication of, or compliance with, these rules. They are intended as a guide, and are in no way a guarantee against injury, or death to participants, spectators or others. These specifications are intended to be in effect throughout the 2026 season, however the continuous development in auto racing, and technology may necessitate changed in these guidelines and Oakshade officials reserves the right to change them at any time.
Oakshade officials shall have full authority over all events at Oakshade Raceway. At the discretion of officials, any participants, and/or vehicle may be disqualified for a rule violation, hazardous actions, or assaults or threats against any person.
All vehicles are subject to being inspected by Oakshade officials at any time, for any reason.
1-Body:
a. Any American made vehicle, except 4WD, and convertibles. Must be RWD
b. All glass, interior, and exterior trim must be removed. No Mirrors allowed.
c. Spoiler permitted (no fiberglass). Maximum 8” high extending no wider than top edge of quarter panels. Spoiler end caps are permitted. 3 supports maximum. Maximum deck height is 40”.
d. Rear deck lid must be flat.
e. Sail panels, 43” x 22” with no more than 2” bow.
f. Factory bodies or fabricated bodies will be permitted, but must be stock in appearance. No tilted roofs or raised deck lids allowed. Minimum 6” ground clearance on side and minimum 8” ground clearance on front.
g. Stock appearing bumper (front and rear). No tubing in front of bumpers.
h. Hood and trunk lids must be easy to open for inspection.
i. Bumpers must not have any sharp edges.
j. All structural tubing must remain inside the body and behind the bumpers.
k. Nose and front fenders must be flush- elephant ears, flared, or late model noses are not permitted.
2-Appearance:
a. All cars must be neat in appearance and repaired weekly if wrecked.
b. All car numbers must be able to be read by scorers in the tower. A minimum 24” tall. They must be on both sides and the roof of each car. If scorers cannot read them you will not be scored. Note neon and shiny numbers “merge together” on backstretch when viewed from tower.
3-Interior:
a. Interior must be completely gutted.
b. Area from cowl or firewall under the hood must be completely enclosed.
c. Every Car must have the cockpit separate from the trunk by installing a min .0662 thickness piece of steel or aluminum.
d. No mirrors allowed.
e. Interior deck must be flat.
4- Engines:
a. Must be in stock location. No engine setback, # 1 sparkplug must be in line with or ahead of upper ball joints.
b. Cast Iron Block only. Aluminum or steel heads permitted. GM heads 23 degree plus or minus 1 degree only. If running aluminum heads you must declare to an official in writing, and you must weigh minimum 3,000 lbs
c. One carburetor only, no electric fuel pumps
d. Stock ignition or MSD ignition permitted. Dual point distributor will not be permitted. Magnetos will not be permitted.
e. All exhaust must exit outside of the car, and not pointed to the ground.
5-Transmissions:
a. No ball spline transmissions allowed.
b. All cars must start, stop and operate in forward and reverse under own power.
6- Fuel Tanks:
a. An approved fuel cell must be used at all times.
b. Fuel cells must be painted white or red, and fuel caps must have car number.
c. Must be in steel container fastened with a minimum of 2 steel straps at least 2” wide & 1/8 “thick.
d. Must not be mounted lower than rear end.
7- Radiator:
a. Radiator protection cannot be wider than the frame or go forward of the front bumper. One radiator in stock position. No oil or transmission coolers in the drivers compartment.
8- Chassis, Frame & Roll Cage
a. Stock front clip.
b. Minimum 104” wheel base.
c. A four point roll cage with a minimum of 3 bars in drivers door manufactured from minimum 1 ½” tubing. Cage requirements are a must.
9- Suspension:
a. Stock lower A frames
b. Tubular uppers allowed
c. Stock steering box
d. One shock per wheel
e. No rack and pinion
f. No coil overs
g. Minimum 5” diameter springs
h. No cushioned linkages allowed on rear suspension with the exception of the pull bar/upper torque link which may use springs or biscuit.
i. No Birdcages, brake floaters, leaf spring floaters, or any other rotational devices allowed (if it pivots around the axle tube, IT IS NOT ALLOWED!)
j. Weight jacks optional
10- Rear ends:
a. Any Original Equipment (O.E.) car or truck rear end.
b. Quick change or quick change type rear end are permitted. floaters optional, but strongly recommended. Must have steel axle tubes.
11-Drive Shaft:
a. Every car must have hoop surrounding front third of the drive shaft.
b. Drive shafts must be painted white, and have car number.
c. Steel, aluminum, or carbon fiber driveshafts are okay.
12- Safety:
a. Must have racing belt and harness assembly with required crotch strap. Can not be over 5 years old, and in good condition.
b. Approved fire suit, gloves, and helmet mandatory.
c. The battery must be securely mounted with positive fasteners and brackets.
13-Weight:
a. Any ballast weight must be fastened with a minimum of (2) ½ “ bolts.
b. No stacking or clamped weights.
c. All weights but be painted white and car number.
14 – Tires:
a. 8” maximum tread width and 10.5” maximum cross section.
b. Must fit hoop.
c. DOT stock passenger tires, Hoosier H500, Towel City retred S650 medium compound (solid yellow dot).
d. Chemical alterations, vulcanizing, tire softening, defacing, and/or altering the face of the tire lettering and/or tire stamping will not be permitted. Chemicals or tire softening is not permitted at any time.
e. Bead locks right side only
f. Must have 5 wheel studs and nuts per wheel. Minimum 1 “ nut
g. All cars must have working brakes on all 4 wheels ( subject to testing)
h. No aluminum calipers or after market brakes of any kind will be permitted.
15-Tow Hooks:
a. Must have tow hooks on front and rear of car.
b. Must be able to support car.
Other:
a. No 2-way radios allowed.
b. Working raceceivers are mandatory at all times when on the racetrack.
c. Westhold transponders (yellow) are mandatory at all times when on the racetrack.
Oakshade Raceway management and persons reserve the right to refuse any vehicle, driver, or person to race in any event at anytime, on any property associated with Oakshade Raceway. Oakshade Raceway reserves the right to take away points for rule violations,
including those by driver, pit crew or fan misconduct. We also may add points for running the track in and or etc. Any Competitor found with any traction control device by officials are subject to lose all points for the night (and accumulated), money, and suspension.
Any specification not covered in these rules must be approved by track officials in writing before it is ok. Just because you have gotten away with a rule does not make it legal or ok.
